Overview:
In July 2005, Amadeus purchased the ‘Ford East’ prospect, an oil and gas field situated in Reeves County, West Texas, USA.
Located in the Delaware Basin, the Ford East field covers an area of 1,172 acres with Proved Developed Producing (PDP) reserves made up of approximately 500,000 BO and 0.2 BCF of gas (net to Amadeus). An additional 31 drilling targets, containing 1.735 MMBOE, are to be developed.
Drilling commenced in late July 2005 immediately following the purchase, with five wells drilled and successfully completed.
From April to June 2007, a further five oil development wells were drilled and completed for production.
A program to drill four oil development wells back to back commenced in June 2008.
To date, the exploration conducted at Ford East has resulted in a 100% success rate in discovering commercial oil.
Production from the field averages approximately 4,000 BO/month (net share to Amadeus).
